This is such an interesting ring. The snake coils around 4 times. It is crafted from 14K Yellow Gold with an old cut blue tourmaline. The stone is set in the head and supported by two bead prongs as well as the backing of the setting. The ring is crafted with six joints which is why makes this ring so interesting. With age two of the joins have been repaired with soldier and no longer move freely. I get so excited when I find pieces like this. The body is thick yet hollow. No hallmarks are present but tests as 14K and a tourmaline on my presidium duo tester. There are no chips to the old cut stone. We date this ring to the late 1800's early 1900's. The condition is good with the above noted repairs and normal wear.
Ring Size: 5.5US (Not sizable)
Girth of the body (1 coil): roughly 2mm
Circa: late 1800's - early 1900's
