This is an AMAZING cross. It came from a California Estate of an extraordinary collector. This necklace is seriously fit for royalty. It is an early victorian cross which dates from the early to mid 1800's. The condition is fabulous with no missing stones and all are completely original. This cross is crafted from 14K gold and Sterling Silver. The 75 diamonds are all rose cuts and set in Silver. The emerald are completely natural and untreated. The color and condition of the emeralds is truly fabulously amazing. There are natural inclusions in the emeralds which is to be expected, so please zoom in. The emeralds are each set in gold in a raised bezel setting with prongs surrounding the entire stone. The colors are finely matched to one another. The back of the cross is done in 14K gold where as the front which the diamonds are set in is silver. If you look at a complete side view you can see where the two metals are married. The top is fitted with a soldiered eye loop and a bail. We have joined this cross with a 14K White Gold Contemporary chain. This is a magnificent excellent quality heirloom.
