A lovely belt dating from the 1880's/1900's. It is crafted from silver plate and in fabulous condition for its age and use. There are 3 panels and one buckle each of the same image of an elegant art nouveau lady. Each panel is a sheet pressed piece with a bar soldiered to the back for strength and to run a ribbon though it. Each panel is also affixed with a soldiered loop for the chain that suspends from each. The center is a double lady buckle. There are no hallmarks but is silver plate. I do not notice any damage to any of the ladies and is considered in fabulous condition with a bit of wear to the plating. I suppose a good polish could bring this piece back to life fairly easily.
