This is a pretty spectacular cross crafted by Mappin & Webb of England. It is crafted from 18K white gold, hallmarked and tested. The stones are Mother of pearl which is carefully cut polished and inlay into the white gold. The color of the MOP is a luminance silvery white which lovely depth. The Honey colored stones are Citrine's which are also hand cut and polished into the inlay. Between the MOP and the citrine are small round cut diamonds which are bead prong set in the white gold. The diamonds each measure roughly 1mm each. They compliment the MOP and the citrine wonderfully. The design wraps around to the bottom edge of the cross. The small bail is also adorned with diamonds and a white gold jump ring which leads to the large enhancer clasp. This enhancer can be used with beads, pearls or perhaps a thick chain. It simply unclips with a snap and closes the same, very secure as not to be worried when worn. The back of the cross is heavily decorated in cut outs of crosses. An extremely well made piece, indeed. The back of the cross is hallmarked 750 for its 18K gold content. There are additional hallmarks on the large jump ring Which are M& W for Mappin & Webb. Crown & 750 indicating 18K, Lion indicating London & a date code 2000. The condition is excellent and has no visible wear what so ever.
