This is a brilliant rich ring. It is fairly contemporary dating from approximately the 1980's. It is crafted in rich 18K yellow Gold. The center stone is an amazing deep blue sapphire with a natural matrix. The stone is very clean and clear. It is four prong set in a raised yellow gold setting. To the left and the right of the sapphire are diamonds of a family unusual cut, trapezoid alternating to made a perfect fit into the channel setting. There are two rows of these fine quality diamonds, roughly F in color and VVS1~ VVS2. After all they are set in yellow gold which we all know, only the finest diamonds shine in this setting.... The top and bottom of this ring possesses a symmetrical l design with two scallops and one point in the center. The center point has three diamonds all channel set with the largest round cut diamond in the center of the point with two accenting diamonds on either side. The scallops have two round cut diamonds in each, both cancel set. These diamonds are of the same fabulous quality as the trapezoid cut diamonds. They have a combined carat weight over 1 Carat (Measurements listed below). This beautiful ring is hallmarked 750 along with a serial number of F8715. There is a maker cartouche which is only stamped with half showing so I am unsure of the jeweler who created this (Just in front of the 750).
