Absolutely stunning earrings. These were custom make earrings which date from around the 1950's. they feature omega pierced backs. The top of the earrings feature a wave of ribbon like form which is adorned with 14 bead prong set round cut diamonds with 6 raised 4 young set diamonds. The prong set diamond measure roughly 1.5mm each. The bead prong set diamonds range from roughly 1.5mm down to 1.25mm. Just below the top is a pivoting row of 4 raised prong set diamonds roughly 1.5mm each. Attached at the bottom of the pivoting row is a lovely drop which is attached by an eyeloop for great movement. The design is a revers drop. It features a raised bezel set Ruby. The rubies are a deep pinkish red are are oval cuts with natural inclusions. I believe these rubies are completely natural and untreated. Surrounding the Ruby are 13 round cut diamonds which are bead prong set and roughly measure 1.5mm down to 1.25mm. Just under the bezel set ruby are 6 additional diamonds in a three tier raised setting bead prong set again roughly measuring 1.5mm down to 1.25mm. The condition of these earring are fabulous with very very minimal wear if any. I feel that one diamond is a replacement on the drop just to the left of the ruby. However it is well matched in color but the cut is more shallow, but noted. No hallmarks were found, confirmed as solid platinum, diamonds & rubies.
