A lovely French Victorian Locket. This locket is crafted from 18k Yellow gold with enamel. It dates from the mid to late 1800's. The front of the locket is in lovely condition with minor scratched to the hand painted enamel. The putter boarder is black and does have a couple of chips when viewing under a loop 10X. From the naked eye there does not appear to be any chipping, so please zoom in on the photographs for your confirmation. This lady is lovely with her angel white skin and rosy cheeks. Her hair is finely detailed and in the typical victorian era style which is adorned with sweet little blue flowers. The bail is a soldiered eye-loop with a jump ring. The back side of the locket appears to have been used as a teether of a young baby as do many of these lockets from my experience.... The inside opens to two glass framed intact photograph placements. Glass is in tact and lined with silk. The inside is immaculate. Aside of the above mention wear, this is a beautiful period piece with a lot of love left to enjoy. No hallmarks were located but test as 18K both electronically and with acid.
