A victorian Sterling Silver, gold gilt Rose cut garnet snowflake brooch. This brooch is crafted from Sterling Silver with a gold gilt. It dates from the mid to late 1800's. I believe the depiction is of a snowflake or star or perhaps a flower. It features 3 separate tiers (layers) of garnet which make up this brooch. In the very center of this piece are two little gold portions in the top tier. I believe this is the evidence of two missing stones with their gilt backing still present. Other than that the condition is fabulous with normal minimal wear. No hallmarks were found but test as Sterling silver with a gold gilt.
