Unique and Rare 9k Gold, Sterling, Bronze Watch Fob Stunning!
A fob is an adornment or a seal that hangs from the ribbon or chain of a pocket watch. Its purpose is to decorate or add weight to the watch chain itself making it easier for the watch to be withdrawn from a pocket.
This fabulous and ornate fob from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is comprised of several sterling silver and gold adorned links. Each row of 3 silver links is adorned by a three leaf 9kt rose gold clover. It 8s unmarked. The fob has been acid tested and is silver and 9kt gold There is a two sided coin that hangs at the end of the fob. It is cast in bronze and on the front has a solider in a helmet and on the back has a bull with the name D. Coypion on it.....I think its Greek. It's a very unusual piece and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The piece hangs approximately 4 1/2" long by 1/2" wide. The bale measures and additional 1" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is great. There is no apparent damage to the silver or gold, and besides normal surface wear, the detail is in good condition.
