A late 19th century pair of Helene Wolfsohn Dresden porcelain chocolate cups. The cups have an angular handle and decorated with panels of figures and flowers on a white background, - the lids have a wreath and ribbon finial in gold with gold trim all hand painted.
Marks: 'AR' in blue to saucer and cup base. The Augustus Rex was first used by Meissen in the 18th century and copied later by other factories.
Condition: very good for their age with normal wear some very light wear to painted surface and gilding, no chips or cracks.
Measurements: the cups are about 1.75" tall and 3" tall with lids on.
