After a bit more research, I believe these may be Swedish designed and made.
Fantastic and rare Art Deco bronze mirrored wall sconces with intertwined dolphins /porpoises. These were from the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills estate of Berry Gordy and purchased from a 90 year dealer up in northern CA . I have spent hours trying to find comparable pieces but no luck. My guess is Scandanavian or Italian. They are an amazing pair and both are working.
They have a dark mirror trimmed with glass rods on the sides and I believe acrylic rods at the top and on bottom and the light bowls have this tiered classic Deco design. They have this beautiful deep green patination with some brown in them. They measure about 29" tall 10 3/8" wide and about 9.5" or so deep.
They are 80 plus years old and have some issues with patination wear and the metal side trim on one looks like it was repainted and they originally held 2 sockets but now only one light in each is working. The wire in the one that holds the socket is missing. Some light scratches on the mirror, not bad at all but I need to address it. Wear to the interior of light bowl where the paint has flaked off mostly because of the heat, which is not distracting since it does not show while on the all. I have wired it to be able to plug it in but it would most likely be hard wired onto a wall. It has small brackets for a round diffuser on top of each. Again, magnificent pieces.
I have searched all over for some signature or mark but I could not find one. I saw a similar style and it was marked Sabino which I thought possibly, but again I could find no marks. This is a remarkable pair and I doubt you will ever come across another again.
