Absolute beautiful 19th century pair of French Sevres style cobalt porcelain and gilt bronze ormolu brule parfum (perfume/incense burner). This pair is early to mid 19th century and looks like the work of Pierre Philippe Thomire (1751-1843). Each piece is about 11.5" tall and 7.5" wide at the top. The porcelain cobalt bowl and base look like Sevres but unmarked and they are on tripod stands supported by a ram head down to a hoof foot and all 3 supports linked by a center rod on which a serpent is coiled and resting on a tripartite base with 3 feet. Some wear and a couple of shallow surface nicks/rubs on the porcelain edge where it touches the bronze rams head and most of the intense gilt is gone. I have tightened a bolt on one that was loose and the bowl does not move. I also noticed one small tip of one horn is broken off and that was done many decades ago. Does not detract in any way. A fine pair for that special collector.
