Large gorgeous young maiden in a sexy pose most likely French Victorian era circa 1880 in a bisque porcelain with enamel paint details on a column base in a powder blue with gold trim made to look like bronze ormolu. She is unsigned that I can see and quite large at about 31.5" tall or so and she is in really good condition for her age. She wears a sheer blouse which exposes her bosom to some extent and part of a breast is exposed and she has a beautiful serene look on her face.
There were several artists who did this type of work but it is unsigned that I can see. It is connected with an old bolt and screw and I think the base is two piece with the bust on top. Like I said, condition is very good with minimal wear for being about 130 years old. Some tiny nicks on her blouse ruffles some gilt wear to base and some spots and light discoloration but overall quite nice. She has a small dark line in her hair and I have tried to clean her and the napkin came out a bit dirty so she could use a proper cleaning.
She came from a 7000 square foot mansion in Rancho Santa Fe, CA from a decorator couple who had an extensive collection in their home from French to Asian and really old fantastic, museum quality pieces. I could only afford this piece and it was pretty expensive. Professionally packaged and shipped.
