This is a beautiful and highly detailed pepper pot made from English sterling silver and appropriately marked. The head can be removed to sprinkle the pepper or other spice you may want to use.
It is dated 1885 by the hallmarks and was made in London by Edward H. Stockwell. It is about 4" long and 2.5" tall. It weighs 5 oz on my postal scale and about 140 grams. It has a broken toe on its right foot which a jeweler could repair. It does still stand up however and will look great in a curio cabinet.
