American Frohse Anatomical Chart Human Skeleton 1918 Copyright by A.J. Nystrom & Co.
This was a pull down chart, originally with wooden rods on ends like maps in school rooms. This chart is in good condition with very little discoloration. Look carefully at the pictures and you will see what I mean.
It's printed on linen with detailed color illustrations.
In the 1910s Franz Frohse (University of Berlin) created a series of anatomical wall charts which became widely used internationally because of their accuracy and clarity. When the First World War interrupted supplies to America, these German illustrations were reproduced in the United States by the A.J. Nystrom Co., Chicago. The American charts were copyrighted in 1918 and became the classroom standard.
