Pair of English Edwardian Sterling Salt Cellars ~ Carrington & Co. 1906-7
This attractive pair of salt cellars weighs 8.2 ounces / 232-grams / 7.47-troy ounces
Each stands 2-3/8-inches to the top of the handle and are 5-1/8-inches across, handle to handle.
They are in good condition minor scratches and have the warm patina created by 100 years of hand-polishing.
They have neither monograms nor monogram removals~ There is a light vermeil wash inside each bowl.
Each is hallmarked below the handle on the outside: maker= C&Co., Lion passant, leopard's head, and "d". If my research is accurate, these salt cellars were made by London silversmiths Carrington & Co. 1906-7.
A handsome pair of Edwardian English Salt Cellars.
