Huburt Harmon, an American-born, Paris trained, designer who worked for Jean Patou, Schiaparelli and Marcel Rohas, moved to Taxco Mexico in the 1940's and created some wonderful pieces in brass and silver.
Harmon's pieces are stunning and quite sought after having been produced only a few years.
They are ,distinctive, whimsical and unique.
This delightful belt buckle measures 7" and comes with an original 30-inch leather belt which can be changed at will.
The snake and fish eyes are bezel-set amethysts.
Each side of the buckle is imprinted with the Casa Maya hallmark...
