Here we have a Victorian old cut Diamond and Ruby (non heat treated) necklace that is silver topped (tested as at least 800/1000 parts) 9 karat gold (acid tested) backed necklace I reimagined from a bar brooch. The necklace consists of 5 rubies at 4-5mm each estimated at about .60 carats with 6 diamonds measuring about 3-4mm each estimated at .72-.75 carats of diamonds. The bar is 1.5" East to West. This has been paired with an era appropriate faceted oval link belcher chain that measures with jump rings at 16" and 18" and an era appropriate dog clip clasp closure hallmarked with makers mark and "9 .375" indicating it is 9K gold typical of the era and has been and remains the U.K.s gold standard. The necklace weighs 9.2 grams and looks amazing on its own or layers nicely.
