Here we have a beautiful Old Mine Cute Diamonds and non heat treated Burmese Rubies ina gold necklace from the Victorian era circa 1880-1901. I repurposed this into an easy to wear necklace from a bar brooch. It is constructed out of 15 karat gold (acid tested) paired with an era appropriate 9 karat gold faceted round link chain (also acid tested). The floral pattern of four diamonds around a central ruby repeats itself 7 times giving you 7 rubies totaling 1.05 carats with 22 bright and sparkly white diamonds equalling an estimated 1.78-2 carats. The stones are eye clean and very bright!
The necklace is 18" long with a jump ring at 16" to give the wearer options (I do also have a bit extra chain which can be added at a nominal fee). The necklace weighs 17.4 grams. The diamonds range from 2.3-4 mm and the rubies, more oval in shape measure an estimated 3mm by 4mm. The weight of the piece is 17.4 grams. This is another rare one of piece of jewelry history.
