This is a lovely floral 15 karat gold (tested not marked) foiled flat cut almandine garnet pendant. It is made up of 8 garnets-6 petals (modified pear shape) and two circular or round garnets, one attached to the bale and the other in the center of the flower. A fine example of a piece of jewelry history from the Georgian era. British in origin, this piece is in wonderful antique condition with a tiny nibble to the small round garnet holding the bale ( of little or no consequence as it doesn't detract from this pendant in anyway). The flower (typical daisy pattern) is a rich red almandine garnet color with four gold beads at the end of the bottom of the four petals. The top two petals are attached to a gold chain that attaches to the small circular garnet holding the bale where you would attach it to a chain or ribbon. It weights 2.4 grams and measures 1.5" from top to bottom including the bale and 0.75" east to west. Please see photos as I use them as a large part of the item description.
