2'5" x 3'7" Amazing Persian Senneh Rug, c-1950 in excellent condition.
The materials are wool pile with wool foundation. The colors are from vegetable dyes, and the general pattern is paisley design inside two borders.
The overall condition is excellent, especially when its age is taken into consideration. There are no tears, breaks or holes. The side bindings are intact and original. The ends are bound. The pile is high . The rug has been professionally washed.

The province of Kurdistan is situated in the western part of Iran. Its capital today is Sanandaj, but in the context of carpets, the older name, Senneh, is still used. Around the province the Kurdish people weave strong, durable carpets with juicy patterns. Carpets from the city of Senneh gives an elegant impression with a fine design and tasteful patterns. They are very appreciated both in and out of Iran. The pattern consists of rhombs, mir-e-buteh or Herati. The carpet is dominated by red and dark blue colors.
