Wood Sterling Pre-Columbian Textile Box Hallmarked
This is a handmade Peruvian box, carved from one block of wood, with no joinery. It has a hallmarked “Peru 925” sterling frame with an ancient tapestry under glass. The textile is a fragment hand woven from before Columbus, pre-Columbian. It depicts figures holding hands. This box would have been made in the 1960’s. In good condition it measures 7 ¼ x 4 ¼ inches and stands 2 inches tall. This piece has a good overall look.
