Japanese Cloisonne Lidded Jar Double Handled Koro Enamel Meiji Period

This is a very heavy brass and cloisonne enamel, lidded vessel, possible a Koro. It was made in the Japan during the Meiji period 1868- 1912. It has a small lid with a brass finial, two brass handles with rings. The round body of the jar is decorated with stylized birds and foliage, throughout. It has a pedestal stem, and decorated along the base with the bird and foliage stylized pattern. It has thick blue enamel inside and in the base on the bottom. It weighs over a kilo, and measures 8 inches tall, and 5 inches wide not including the handles.
