Spanish Colonial LARGE Shawl Pin Tupo Silver Spoon
This is a very large shawl pin, made in Bolivia, circa 1935. In the the shape of a spoon, it is hand engraved bird and flowers, decorated with Bolivian Coins, Cinco Centavos, Diez Centavos. It is made with 800 standard coin silver. It is set with a glass aqua blue green stone. It is called a TUPO or TUPU it is to fasten a heavy wool woven shawl. It has a soldered loop on the back.
