Offered is a small creamware undertray with a basket weave molded and reticulated border. This has a simple floral brown colored enamel decoration and is a miniature version of such platters and larger trays. The glaze pooling is the greenish color as shown and the piece would date from about 1810 to 1825.
Dimensions: The length is 7 1/4"and the width is about 6". The height is 13/16".
Condition: Excellent. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The glaze is smooth, shiny and unworn, and the enamel is clear and unworn. Looks like it was never used.
Early period antiques are quite old, were made to be used, and frequently have signs of age and use and sometimes a small manufacturing flaw or repair. While this is normal and to be expected, I note any known issues in the condition description.
