Beautiful, Victorian, Aesthetic movement, Brown "Tournay" Child's Cup, circa 1885. This lovely treasure was made at T & R Boote Potteries in Staffordshire, England, and it features a beautiful geometric border-pattern and scrolls of Lily of the Valley flowers trailing down the flat sides of this ironstone little cup. Rich, deep chocolate-brown Transfer patterns really stand out. The lovely RING Handle and Flat Sides of this cup make it especially Rare. (Maker's Mark and Registry Mark, "33645," on the base indicate this piece is circa 1885.) Measures 2 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" wide (including handle). Excellent condition for its age; no chips, cracks, or dings; little or no crazing. Note: The Heart-Shaped-Pattern of the scrolling Flowers on this cup would make this a perfect gift for your Valentine!
