Charming in their simplicity, this pair of hand carved, Folk Art, wood bookends feature two identical, seated dogs. From their long, flowing ears, to the carved fur lines on their legs, we believe that they meant to represent Spaniels, Cockers, or perhaps Brittany Spaniels, or even Springer Spaniel puppies. From their attentive looks, they seem to be taking their job as bookends very seriously. These bookends are solid wood and stained with a deep brown wood stain. They are each 8" tall x 6" long x 4 3/8" wide, making them sturdy enough to hold up a number of large books between them. They are in excellent condition, and are a wonderful choice for a child's room or playroom, and certainly a whimsical, and heart-warming, collectible pair for any spaniel dog enthusiast.
