This delicate, standing dog dates back to the mid-1800's. Made in the Staffordshire region of England, this figurine of a dog was most likely intended to represent a Pug, which was one of the very popular breeds at that time. At 3" tall x 4" long x 1 1/2" wide, this dog is in great condition with some missing blue paint along it's collar. While the appeal of Staffordshire figurines is in their charming folk style, depicting everyday life in the English countryside, they also add a very elegant and more formal touch to the decor of a dining room, or even a master bedroom. If you are either a Pug-lover, or a collector of Staffordshire figurines, this little beauty will fit right in!
