Created by Gebruder Heubach, the well-known doll makers of Thuringia Germany, this porcelain terrier looks ready to pounce and play! The exquisite detailing includes an open almost "smiling" mouth with an extended tongue and even two small canine teeth. Standing 4 1/2" tall x 8 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide, he is done in a snowy white with soft grey markings, black eyes ,a rosy tongue, and a beautiful, high-gloss finish.
He is an exquisite example of the Heubach figurines of the early 20th century with the Heubach insignia impressed on the base of his paw. Truly a unique and rare find, and a beautiful addition to any canine porcelain collection.
