This extraordinary, bronze Greyhound dog figurine was modeled by Pierre Jules Mene during the late 1800's. It depicts the dog poised, looking down with one paw raised. The figurine is stamped "P J Mene", and it is mounted to a very heavy bronze plinth. The dog, himself stands 6 1/2" tall x 7 1/2" long x 3" wide. The entire piece is 8 1/2" tall x 12" long x 6 1/2" wide. It is in excellent condition. The detailing of this elegant dog is absolutely exquisite, and his pose is so regal. He is the perfect size to fit beautifully on a mantel, and to draw all the attention in the room directly to him. If you are a collector of bronze canines, he is certainly one you will want to add to your collection. His charm and elegant presence cannot be overstated.
