Antique Edwardian Art Nouveau 14k Moose Lodge Masonic stick pin signed William C Green & Co. Measures 2-5/16" total length, head measures 3/4" x 3/8", pin stem measures 1.1mm, weighs 1.8 grams. Features 22 tiny silvery pink seed pearls surrounding a very dimensional left facing moose head figural. In excellent condition, circa 1900-1910. Hallmarked "14K" as well as maker marked on the back. Very nice for a mans tie pin. Also would make a nice conversion into a stickpin ring, which is quite on trend.

William C. Greene & Company- (101 Sabin Street- Providence, Rhode Island). William was born in East Greenwich, Rhode Island on August 19, 1826. Established in 1849, they were manufacturers of a general line of gold jewelry including rings, brooches, scarf pins, link buttons, etc., in 19k and 14k gold. According to American Jewelry Manufacturers by Dorothy T. Rainwater, the firm was also affiliated with BDA (Budlong, Docherty & Armstrong), as well as Charles H. Bliss (one of the Bliss Brothers also of American jewelry making importance). "After various vicissitudes of consolidations, receivership's, etc. the business was taken over August 1, 1910 by Edgar M. Docherty. In November 1915 it was reorganized and Frank R. Budlong, formerly New York representative, became a partner to form the firm of Budlong, Docherty & Armstrong."
