Antique Edwardian 14k gold cannetille filigree diamond and seed pearl buttercup setting lavalier pendant necklace. Measures 1-7/8" long (total length including the bail), x 1/2" wide, weighs 2.2 grams. Features a round brilliant cut diamond which measures 1.8mm in diameter (.03 carat) and is mounted securely into a lovely 6 prong buttercup setting. The diamond is eye clean and bright with very good clarity and color. Accented at the bottom with a fresh water pearl. With a 16" long 14k yellow gold fine twisted rope chain with spring ring clasp. Hallmarked "14K" on the clasp of the chain, and also on the bail of the pendant. A very nice example of antique cannetille wire work arts. In excellent very well babied condition. Very light wear on the bail where the chain rubbed up against it over the years, but still very secure. Circa 1910.
