Antique Victorian 10k rose gold garnet solitaire ring, size 12. Gorgeous round faceted garnet has a beautiful deep wine color and measures 7mm x 4mm (1.38 carat) with a 5mm rise. The band measures 3/8" in width and band tapers to 3.2mm at the back of the ring shank. With wonderful hand engraved designs on the shoulders and a raised 6 prong setting which holds the garnet securely. Weighs 5 grams. In outstanding well babied condition, circa 1910. Typical of the majority of authentic antique Victorian jewels (particularly hand crafted pieces such as this), the ring is not gold hallmarked, but has been carefully tested by two separate independent jewelers for karat fineness and is guaranteed to test minimum 10k solid gold in content/purity. In excellent very well cared for condition, circa late 1800s. Garnet is the traditional birthstone for the month of January.
