Antique Victorian 10k rose (very strong pink color) gold ruby paste and seed pearl engraved "CLARA" ring size 6-3/4. With three vivid red ruby pastes, two triangular faceted cuts and the one in the center square faceted cut, that form a elongated marquise or lozenge shape. All are securely set into a dramatic scalloped multiple pronged mounting, and accented by 4 tiny 1mm diameter seed pearls. VERY flattering and elongating on the hand. The shoulders of the ring feature a tri-split shank with hand engraved foliate design. The ring measures 5/8" north/south, band tapers to 3mm at the back of the ring shank. The inside of the ring is hand engraved "Clara". In excellent condition and very well cared for over it's life, all of the stones, which show very slight minimal abrasion, are original to the mounting. Circa late 1800s. Typical of the majority of authentic Victorian jewels the ring is not gold hallmarked, but has been carefully tested by two separate jewelers to guarantee a minimum 10K gold content and purity.
