Antique Edwardian syn. pink sapphire 14k yellow and white gold diamond and seed pearl ring size 4.5. Measures 7/16" in width, the band tapers to 1.5mm at the back of the ring shank, weighs 3 grams. The round faceted synthetic pink sapphire is set into a 6 prong mounting and measures 5mm in diameter. It has beautiful well saturated bubble-gum pink color and fluoresces bright hot pink under ultra violet light. It is accented by six bead-set round single cut diamonds, each 1.7mm in diameter (.02 ct each, .12 ct tw). The diamonds are set into curved white gold rectangular bars that have finely beaded milgrained borders. The cherry's on the top of the sundae are the 2.5mm full round seed pearls nestled securely into 6 prong settings. In excellent extremely well cared for condition, the pink sapphire has very slight but even abrasions along the facet junctions and a small chip on the girdle- (seen only with magnification), and is the original stone to the mounting (all of the gems are original to the mounting). Hallmarked "14K" on the inside of the ring shank. The whole presentation is just so pretty, so very girly-girl. Circa 1910.
