Marvelous antique Edwardian 14k braided woven gold seed pearl Y lavalier necklace for pendant. The condition is stupendous. This looks like it sat buried in a jewel box for it's entire life and it was a joy when we acquired it to ponder all the possibilities of what could be suspended from it. This measures 17-1/4" in length x 1/4" in width, with a chain extension of 2-1/8" and weighs 10 grams. The triangle in the center contains 23 tiny seed pearls each painstakingly bead-set around the perimeter. All of the seed pearls measure 1.5mm in diameter except for the ones in the corners which measures 2mm. The very center is accented by a slightly larger 2.5mm freshwater pearl, set on a gold post. The triangle contains long open bars inside the crest. Hallmarked "14K" on both spring rings. In fantastic condition, including the finely woven braided chain. Completely original with no alterations or repairs whatsoever. This looks like a piece that time simply forgot. Circa 1910.
