Gorgeous antique Victorian 14k yellow gold (very soft subtle pinkish hue) pierced earrings with black enamel accents. Measure 1-1/4" not including the length of the ear wires x 9/16" and weigh 3.2 grams. These are in the shape of an egg or teardrop, and in the shape of a ribbon bow shaped wreath, with fine beaded edges. In the center are raised (separate pieced construction) ovals of black taille de epargne enamel undercut to the gold beneath into a sweet and dainty floral design. They are finished off with lovely freshwater pearl drops. Typical of the majority of authentic Victorian jewels the earrings are not gold hallmarked, but have been carefully tested by TWO separate independent jewelers to guarantee a minimum 14K gold content and purity. In excellent condition, the picture showing the black was taken in highly reflective light and the dark areas are merely reflection. The earring wires are 14k gold as well and have been added, as the earrings originally came to us without ear wires. These delicate feminine earrings are most suitable for women who are petite in frame.
