Stunning antique Art Nouveau lavalier features a very long and heavy in weight oval drop with two cranes, long pearl drop, smoky quartz and emerald eyes. Measures 2-5/8" long x 3/4" wide, with an extra long 30" chain. The pendant is very heavy gilt over brass or bronze, the chain is gold filled. The natural genuine smoky quartz measures 14mm x 7.5mm x 4.3mm (2.39 carat). It has a pale very slightly yellowish brown color, and very light but even abrasions on the facet junctions, it is original to the mounting. It faces up quite beautifully. The cranes eyes are accented with round cabochon synthetic green emeralds. No hallmarks, but there appears to be a partial makers mark on the back of the pendant that cannot be discerned. This has a really nice high quality weight and feel, a sturdy 12 grams. In excellent condition, a couple of tiny pecker dents on the back, really well cared for over the years. Excellent detail and very unique and classic Art Nouveau design. Circa 1910.
