Vintage Retro Moderne 18k rose gold (strong pink color) and white gold diamond buckle ring. Brick work woven mesh flexible tank track design with hinged folding clasp with safety lock. Measures 3-1/2" in length when stretched in it's fully open position x 1/4" in width, the diamond buckle embellishment measures 1/2" in width. The ring weighs 9 grams. The back side of the ring reveals 5 different drill hole opening positions for size placement. These holes line up to a post just under the buckle that lock it into place. The buckle hinges over the top of this, and then the safety clasp locks into place over that for added security. Set on the smallest size position, the ring is a size 4 (pinky). The second position is size 5-3/4, the third size 7, the fourth size 9-1/4, and the 5th size 12. The white gold buckle and V-shaped tip are accented by 10 round single cut diamonds. This ring takes a little extra effort (and a good magnifying glass at my age) to adjust the size, so it is not for everyone, especially if you don't like to "fuss" with things, but it really is clever as well as glamorous. Once the size has been set, there is no other fussing required, just put the ring on and enjoy! A really terrific vintage conversation piece. In excellent very well babied condition, circa 1950.
