Vintage children's Mickey Mouse cartoon character wrist watch, by Ingersoll, 1930s Art Deco. The iconic and beloved Mickey Mouse cartoon character was first created by Walt Disney in 1928. The watch winds and sets and is running (mechanical wind up watch) and has a chrome plated on base metal case and band. This is a wind up mechanical watch, not quartz. The band has all of it's original 6 links but is missing one of the connector tubes on the end closest to the fold over locking safety clasp. The clasp is nice and tight, and has 3 size adjustment positions. This watch is one of the earlier more desirable models- and this one in particular, with the metal link bracelet is particularly sought after. The links of the watch bracelet closest to the case have darling Mickey Mouse figures. The watch is in overall good condition, the case has modest even wear, mostly on the back of the case. We make no guarantee on the function of this watch, and this should probably be serviced, but we have been monitoring it for several days and it is running well and keeping good time. The dial is in excellent condition with bright clear graphics, and a sub seconds dial at the bottom with three tiny rotating figures of Mickey Mouse running. The hands of the watch are the yellow gloved hands of Mickey! The case measures 1-3/16" (not including the width of the winding crown). The overall length measures 6-7/8", the band measures 7/16" in width. This watch is 100% completely original- case, movement, dial, crown, band, and crystal- all original. The crystal is still quite clear and bright. An adorable and very collectible time piece!
