Stunning antique Victorian Art Nouveau 14k yellow gold pink shell cameo lavalier pendant necklace with garnet and pearl accents. Measures 2" in length including the bail, (1-3/4" in length not including the bail), x 1-1/8" in width, weighs a sturdy 8.2 grams. This features a 20mm x 15mm hand carved pink shell cameo, two 3mm seed pearls, a 5.5mm freshwater pearl drop, and a round faceted 6mm x 4mm (1 carat) genuine hessonite garnet- an orange variety of garnet also known as The Cinnamon Stone. Very ornate repousse scroll work. We have added a 17 inch 14k yellow gold twisted rope neck chain with spring ring clasp. Other than the chain, the piece is completely original with no repairs to note. The condition is wonderful, there is a little wear on the bail where the chain rubbed up against it over time. No other condition issues to note, it has been extremely well babied through time and is in excellent condition. Typical of the majority of authentic Victorian jewels the piece is not gold hallmarked, but it has been carefully tested to guarantee 14K content/purity and quality. Circa 1890-1900.
