Magnificent matched pair of French (possible Sevres) urns. They have a rich cobalt blue base with a slightly raised lovely gilt overlay. The center of each, artist signed, Garnier, shows a courting scene with a lady and gentleman and sheep in the background. The porcelain is framed with gilt bronze accoutrements including a pineapple finial and swing handles. The backs have two birds in a tree. A spectacular pair of urns. Unfortunately, I could barely capture their rich color tones in these photos. The first photo shows them best. Circa: Late 1800's. Dimensions: 22"H x 13"W. Condition: Very good original patina on the bronze. Porcelain has no known flaws. Price: $6950 for the Pair!
