Rare Victorian wicker ladies' dressing stand or vanity made by the Wakefield Rattan Company (see photo of red label remnant). It features an oval beveled mirror highly decorated with numerous curlicues. This mirror is suspended with two brass wing bolts to two vertical side supports. Each of these has three beehive type elements along with a spire with ball on the top. The solid quartered oak top surface has beading around the edges and a drawer underneath with a rattan woven front. The elegant curved legs feature curlicues on the sides and end in original brass caps on the feet.
There is an oak shelf on the bottom that has wicker sides forming a basket.
This is a beautiful piece for the serious collector of the best in American
made wicker furniture! Circa: 1890. Dimensions: 54" H x 18.5" W

Finish is original. The oval beveled mirror has some normal minor silver
