Lovely Victorian brass hall lamp. The cylindrical center shade is spectacular! It has a quilted surface with clear amber glass top and bottom. It features a frosted middle beautifully decorated with two birds, flowers and leaves. There is a brass ring on the top and bottom of the shade to hold it in place. A supporting brass spindle holds the top of the glass firm to the side structure. One of the two supporting brass spindles on the bottom is broken (see photo) but the lamp is still stable due to the support given by the center gas (electric) fitting. The lamp was originally gas but has been converted to electricity. A gorgeous lamp with a wonderful shade! Circa: 1880. Dimensions: 32.5" H x 14" W (brass frame). Condition: Break in side piece as described above. Glass has some roughness on top which is hidden by brass ring. Frame was polished in the past. There is tarnishing on the top brass dome over shade. Price: $695.
