Gorgeous seven section “Ideal” model oak bookcase made by the Globe Wernicke Company, Cincinnati, OH (see labels inside of each back). They have raised beveled panels on the sides, beveled glass in the lift top doors, fluted columns with carved tops and bottoms, a curved drawer in the base with fancy brass pulls and dental moldings across the top. The wood used in the construction is of the finest quartered oak with vibrant tiger grain. The “Ideal” model is the top of the line. We have had a number of such units over the years but nine out of ten are made out of mahogany. The oak ones are extremely rare and highly desirable! Circa: 1900. Dimensions: 97″ H x 35.5″ W x 15″ D (base). Condition: Lightly refinished in the past but it still has an old patina. There is a small chip in one of the horizontal pieces (see photo). Price: $6950
