Exotic matched pair of triangular shaped vases made of an overlay of three different glasses – white, cranberry and clear. Hand painted heavy enamel birds, moths and flowers decorate the outer clear layer of glass. A band of blue beads surround the edge about an inch down from the tops. One of these tiny beads is missing. There are three gilt legs at the bottom. These vases were most likely made by Bohemian Ludwig Moser. He used heavy enamel decoration and insects in some of his better pieces. A really exquisite example of high style Aesthetic design! Circa: 1890. Dimensions: 10″H x 4.75″ Corner to corner. Condition: VERY slight chip to one foot. Another VERY small chip under the rim of one of the tops appears to have been professionally ground out by a previous owner. Otherwise, the enamel and glass seem to be in superb condition. Normal wear of the band of gilt on the vertical sides from handling over the years. Price: $995 Pair.
