Gorgeous late Victorian banquet lamp. It has a beautifully shaped cut glass base and round globe on top with chimney. The patterns include hobstars and fans. It has an oil burner signed “E. Miller & Co, Meriden, Ct, made in USA”. This was made in the period when lamps were oftentimes made to be used as either electric or oil. It has a factory made groove in the bottom for an electric cord and has a opening through the middle of the base for a cord to run. This one was sold for oil use but could be easily converted to electric. An exceptional and rare cut glass lamp! Circa: 1900. Dimensions: 26″ H to top of globe. 8″ Diameter of shade. Condition: Very good overall condition. Some normal roughness where the metal burner fits into the glass base. Price: $1895
