Lovely Victorian art glass covered cookie jar made by Wilhelm Kralik, Bohemia. A similar bowl with the identical silver rim and top is shown on page 200 of Art Glass Nouveau by Ray and Lee Grover. The glass is a patented Peloton, ”shredded cocoanut” or “spaghetti” covered bowl. This one has a tree design set into an interesting contoured pink/white case glass surface. The rim and inside of the top are numbered “2561″. It as a plated top with a brass handle. A decorative and unusual piece of Victorian glass! Circa: 1880. Dimensions: 7.5″ H x 6″ Diameter. Condition: Excellent original condition. I chose not to polish the top and rim but this could be done if desired. Price: $650
