Brownie No. 2 Model D camera, box roll film, 5 3/4" by 3 1/4" by 4 1/8", first made in 1901 and discontinued in 1933, 120 film size, made in the USA, by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester, NY. Patent dates on the back are Jan. 12 1897, Apr. 11, 1899, Apr. 14, 1903, Dec. 29 1909. Camera is missing Meniscus lens. This camera has a rotary shutter and fine grain leatherette covered card case. No handle. There were several variations on the No. 2 model, depending on when it was made. This Model D has two reflecting finders, first introduced in Dec. 1914. Also during the run of this camera manufacturing the sliding latch for the hinged back was replaced with a spring catch and the mask in the back was omitted. If it weren't for the lens and handle missing this is a $45 camera. Buy it for parts or decoration. See photos.
