Antique Nippon porcelain, salad set , master bowl and four individual serving dishes. CIRCA: Art Nouveau pattern 1900-1908 Maker is Nippon porcelain, backstamp is #47, in green.
The master bowl is large, 9" in diameter, four individual servings are 5 1/4" diameter. All pieces are matching in pattern and design. Master has a patterned relief border with a 1/4" border of gold leaf with three rows of beading; the center one which is separated by green enamel ovoids. The Art Nouveau rose pattern is hand painted extending from the flared rim down the sides of the bowl. The flower pattern is connected with hand painted brown ribboning. The basin of the master is pale yellow background, has a fleur-de-lis in the center in high relief gold and is separated from the floral design by gold leaf beading and half circle and dot diaper. The servings have the same pattern and design only on a smaller scale. All dishes have scallop edges. See photos. CONDITION: Excellent, no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
